Victor Keubou (Mr. Keubou) is the founding member of VK Law firm. He went to the University of Buea, Cameroon, where he obtained his LL.B. He then proceeded to the University of Dschang, Cameroon, where he earned a Postgraduate Diploma (Maitrise) in Common Law. He further proceeded to the Universities of Geneva & Lausanne, Switzerland, where he obtained an LL.M in International Business Law and European Law.
Mr. Keubou completed his Canadian equivalence with theNational Committee on Accreditation (NCA) between 2013 and 2015. He thenarticled with a Toronto-based community legal clinic, where he helped with poverty law and social justice files. While articling and working as a community legal worker, Victor conducted intake, interviews and helped clients and lawyers with housing, income assistance, employment and work, Immigration, and refugee law issues. He also provided summary legal advice, representation, as well as acted as co-counsel in many cases.
Mr. Keubou is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. He is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), l’Association des juristesd’expressionfrançaise de l’Ontario (AJEFO) and Canadian Association of Black Lawyers (CABL).
Prior to being called to the Law Society of Ontario, Mr. Keubouworkedas a Senior Project Officer and ProgramOfficerwith the Legislative Policy andCharities Directorates of theCanadian Revenue Agency in Ottawa. He had earlierworked withthe Ontario Public Service in Hamilton and Toronto, where he acquired a wide range of experience incourt services and administration, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), health system planning and design, as well as French-language, Aboriginals services and health equity. He also taught French as a second language at Seneca College.
Mr. Keubou has done a wide range of community volunteer activities in Toronto and Ottawa. He speaks and writes English and French fluently.In his free time, Mr. Keubou enjoys playing and watching soccer. He also loves travelling and reading history books.
